The difference is the rate of CO2 release per MWh over the life time of production and the effect that extra CO2 has on atmospheric physics, ocean acidification, especially ocean food chain destruction bottom up.
Our species has never lived in the climate we are making and we are making life close to impossible for many others with the combined effects of human driven habitat destruction for our purposes and human made climate change. How many of those other species can we live without, which ones?
