The SPP won't be scaled back. All the announcements clearly state that the SPP is 'uncapped'. Given disclosure rules, they would have to include certain wording about the amount to be raised and board discretion or pro rata for scale back if that was the direction they were going to go. None of that language is in there.
If the share price holds at current levels then its a no brainer to get in at the placement price of $7.80. Worst case and the share price falls, you only pay the prevailing market rate at the time the SPP closes.
As RcR says, there is no shortage of opportunity for NEXTDC to use the capital raised.
