You don't do this to this extent with a regular old gold discovery. You don't don't this with a regular old zinc or lead discovery.

This is because PGE discoveries normally repeat in multiple richly endowed zones of mineralization over a very large area.

And this is why so many nearology plays especially the Goyder ones (but also we have to look at all early pegged leases closely) are thought to have good chances of target mineral repetition .

The Russians have been mining their rich large Siberian PGE deposit for well over 100 years, not because they are slow or poorly equipped or it is not valuable. Its incredibly valuable, its just so big they have not mined it all yet.

Stop thinking about this as a regular mineral discovery and do some reading on PGE discoveries and deposits and the whole thing will start making more sense.
