    The initial response to the offer was made by BT.

    The comments made in the media were by BT.

    "Alliance company secretary Bob Tolliday said on Thursday the offer was a "cash offer" and an update to the market would be given once the board had met." (From Fairfax articles)

    Could well be that board simply hasn't met yet. Maybe they're on a mid-year break?
