We are certainly at an interesting juncture at the moment.

CHK - hole 1 assays pending
CHK - hole 2 drilling or completed next door to Oak Dam West
CHK - waiting on their 80% ownership to be ratified
BHP - phase 3 drilling results slated to be released prior to end of year
Olympic Domain Pty Ltd - Needing to make an investment decision on future funding of the JV
BHP - currently planning for further drilling in FY2021 after reviewing additional geotechnical and geo-metallurgical data
BHP - reviewing future growth options (including large scale investments) for Olympic Dam

From BHP 2020 Annual Report:

"Preparations are well advanced for the next Smelter Campaign Maintenance to be executed early in FY2022. Olympic Dam has a range of future growth options under consideration as part of its sustained, long-term growth strategy, from incremental debottlenecking through to large scale investments. A third phase of exploration drilling on the Oak Dam project has been completed with additional geotechnical and geo-metallurgical data collected to assist in the understanding of the deposit. Further drilling will be conducted in FY2021, which will inform our next steps with the project."

One would think at the very least the data from CHK's 2 holes would be of immense interest to BHP in their planning for their drill next year.

Things very quiet of late and not a huge amount of clues on the market either way. It would be very interesting to be a fly on the walls behind the scenes atm...
