Remestemcel-L is basically branded as Temcell in Japan. It is distributed by JCR Pharmaceuticals to treat Acute GVHD.
in Spain, Alfiosel (Darvadstrocel) is another product which uses our patented MSC technology. It is owned by Takeda.
Why isn't Temcell being used in Japan to treat Covid-19 patients with ARDS? Not entirely sure. However, I understand the Japanese government have pinned their hopes on their local product by Fujifilm called Avigan, which is an antiviral drug, but there are doubts....(am sure this is another one of those decisions pissing Si off).
