Correct Benelong. Herd immunity requires and is predicated upon:

1) Protective immunity that can be elicited through viral infection
2) Protective immunity that neutralisaes a diversity of of quasi species that emerge as a consequence of the mutation rate (see the emergence of different genotypes in such a short time)
3) Protective immunity that is lasting and does not wane over time (hmm wonder why there has been no vaccine to coronavirus before despite the fact that whole inactivated virus has been shown to be effective in animal model)

Jury is out till the data is in and the data is certainly not in.
