It's not that complicated - this announcement is critical for 8CO (and I think they surged just as much if not more as a result of the previous day's announcement), but is just one of many similar deals that EML expect to do. EML are much bigger company than 8CO so the impact of this deal is proportionally tiny.
The broader market has taken a hit the past couple of days and EML is just floating in the stream. I am very reassured at the nice bounce after the initial post-results sell down, and these little movements from day to day in line with the market are irrelevant in the scheme of things.
