Their no.1 project is called Triumph but is actually the Norton goldfield, their tenement actually surrounds the Norton project. They have done the airborne magnetics and they are calling Norton a magnetic low (possible magnetic destruction zone) and think that it sits atop a deeper porphyry and are looking to drill deeper to find out. On their map Mantle's tenement sits on wide side of the magnetic low and abuts the Norton fault line. Their main drill targets are on the other side of the fault line and they are chasing the high grade zone that was the " engine room" for mineralisation of the area.
The high grade drill intercepts that they argue signify the high grade zone around the magnetic low are actually the ones that Mantle mining inadvertantly included in their announcement ( they are right on Mantle's tenement boundary. So, in a nutshell, Metalbank think they are homing in on a major porphyry target and are going to drill to find out. Yet Mantle's Norton tenement would possibly be half the deposit. Interesting times we live in.

Was just having a look at the maps for the 2 projects you discuss in your post Jos. Very interesting as you say. Mantle's Norton ML80035 appears to be right in the middle of MBK's sweet spot.

MBK's quarterly has a map on page 6 that identifies targets of very high grade that border Mantle's ML80035
Norton originally identified ML80035 as its high grade target within the larger EL.
Perhaps you(& IK) are onto something there Jos!
If we get no news from Mantle, at least we can watch MBK's results to get an idea of what's below the surface right on our border ;o)
cheers
