I see we have over 70% Si02 silica dioxide, are these normal...

    I see we have over 70% Si02 silica dioxide, are these normal levels for mining?, could this become a viable sellable bi-product?, uses in glass, ceramics and many other uses.
    It does present potential health issues while mining and processing, maybe no more than any other mine?
    Can anyone enlighten me on these thoughts please?
