This is something outside this discussion but i will share it anyway. The government has said it needs to figure out a solid way to recover financially from covid-19. They announced that they do not have all the answers to the massive debt Australia is going to be in for the years to follow. They have publicly said that they would welcome any ideas from any members of the public. I sent an email recently stating that exporting our meat and veges in the past has not made our country wealthy and never will. I suggested that the way forward would be to make cheap loans available to mining companies. Low interest on the loans, But lots of employment and taxes. Selling the mined resource overseas would bring in much needed $$$ and more taxes. The response i got was so positive and apparently my email has been forwarded to the powers that be and i have been told that this will now be an option to be discussed and considered in upcoming cabinet meeting's. So here's hoping it happens. There are so many company's out there sitting on massive resources and not a lot of confidence in obtaining funding in the covid environment.
