If i recall correctly MinRes is going to go full underground mining in one of their main lithium projects (Mt Marion) (will try to find where it was mentioned in an article i believe). Don't think going under ground will be an issue nowadays (with modern techs) it's more about Li macro e.g. price trend and EV penetration etc. Some of the great intercepts that our immediate neighbour CXO had were quite deep too, and they've just released some good (profit) numbers in their annual report recently.
