Why say something that's just so blatantly not right? I mean, every holder got that email, it's right there, it just doesn't get clearer.

Oh little one, I assume your naivety comes from you having a lack of experience in the market? If you had had more experience you would have known that companies have indeed, in the past, closed share purchase plans early due to massive over-subscription, despite initially stating a later close date. Sometimes they warn of possible early closure, other times they don't. I don't agree with it but that is what they sometimes do, so I make sure I get my funds in quick and carry the loss of bank interest by paying early.
