Didn’t see this coming, a very big deal in my opinion , First Quantum is a serious copper player and already has two mines in Zambia within easy reach of PSC’s Mumbizhi project. The fact that Eagle Eye is also participating in a separate raise to maintain its 15% interest speaks well of the confidence that key shareholders are showing in PSC. It’s a good result , the capital will be earmarked to fast tracked Mumbezhi etc, and with a lot of self interested copper miners looking on, we have a better than average chance of developing the project to a commercially viable concern and offloading the asset onto a captured market.
Now if we could just shuffle off the shelved lithium assets PSC have for sale and valued on its books for around $4M, happy days….
