His announcements are all about jobs and opportunity in each of the states. So it makes sense to announce when you're physically there.

I'm thinking he had to announce Renascor today because DC pushed him because he has something to announce when he's in South Korea to present next week. Could this be because he has only just now finalised an OTA with a Korean player (say POSCO) and wants to announce it while he's in Korea? Is this also why the RNU had to go in trading halt because its government funding announcement timing was last minute and announcement wasn't ready?

IE the OTA finalisation was the catalyst for today's approved funding announcement?

Anyway, pure speculating on my part, I could be 100% wrong in my reasoning.

Another point about the timing of things is the launch of the "National Defence Strategy" by Defence Minister Marles today.

A key feature in national security is what Australian can do itself with our rare earths and minerals.

This was touched on at the national press club today.
