Have you considered the distinct possibility those 875 shares were the result of a partial fill from a different seller who failed to settle on-time (for whatever reason) but settled one day late?
This would explain why those shares landed iin your Automic account one day late, but unfortunately missed the Record Date close-off.
Late settlements happen from time to time which the registry manager (Automic) has no control over.
