US-based BlackRock this week threw ~NZ$2 billion of new investment at the New Zealand government out of nowhere to move that country to 100% renewables as quickly as possible. Regardless of personal views on the increasingly pernicious overlap of corporate interests and politics, there is undoubtedly a strong appetite for “the ESG dream” and I’m pretty sure, with stuff like this going on, that Vulcan is still well on track to extract the same sort of political/corporate-political goodwill for DLE in Europe.
