Wouldn't a dispassionate 'cold hard facts' approach look at something like the average yearly return / SP change or something ? Rather than taking the company's ATH, or the highest purchase price you in particular has paid? Seems like selecting that as the singular reference point is kind of the opposite of an objective approach since it is based on a particular entry point / experience.
