If you are hanging around for it to get back to the ATH, you'll need a LOT more patience than you apparently have.
The buyback was absolutely worth it and hopefully they keep running them. The trouble is apparently you believe the sole purpose of the buyback is to help you personally to recover you investment losses and get the SP back to $20. Of course if you hold this unreasonable expectation you're never going to be satisfied.
