FDA has a recent report done on it that essentially said they were pretty useless. So given that, also the fact they are short staff, and the fact their are issues at state and federal level (eg states have basically single suppliers into their WIC) I can't see any fast progress. NZ and Australian bureaucracy is bad. USA is even worse.
(And fragile mums aren't going to tolerate an accelerated process that puts their wee darlings at risk)
