Yes, a little more detail would've been good there.
I don't think the goal in the recent token investments was to acquire the tokens as assets.
There's a bigger picture in play here. A very cunning move by AB1 IMO, by giving these developers of new technology a piece of the company, they've directly fused the interests of AB1 into the direction and development of the technology. The best way to get someone to work hard for you is to give them a slice of your pie. Just throwing some cash at it would leave us nothing more than a silent investor betting on a capital gain down the track. This way these companies have a vested interest in making AB1 successful as well.
I see the tokens as a trivial bonus in the deal.
Also, I believe this speaks volumes of confidence by these companies in AB1 to accept a deal like this when their sole priority at this stage should be raising cash for further development of their products.
+1 while their profit is up, they need to move fast. I love the fact they have another revenue stream that isn't derived from mobile games: zeroth.ai
Just relying on profit from mobile games - which let's admit can be quiet volatile - is a bit risky imo, but they have diversified a lot in the last year. My favourite stock by along shot, simply due to the decisions by management, and i really enjoy reading the announcements.
Most of my other stocks, I have lost interest in - especially ESH!!! (but i refuse to sell at a loss)
