The timeline of events here is important and tells the true story of why the trading halt for crap results and even why BMG released them at all, despite continous disclosure rules in place compelling all companies to be transparent.
The TH was announced prior to trading on 9th, but BMG received the 'Please Explain' letter from the ASX on the 8th, so were forced into the TH and had to now release the 7 month old results as a result. They didn't release them voluntarily, but were compelled to do so due to the ASX. This is about as dodgy as it gets.
