brettnp: as someone who's been in and out of ABU over the years (presently out) this is undoubtedly a real milestone.

There's nothing wrong with your calculations but I think it's fair to say gold producers tend to trade at ridiculously low PEs until they have shown that there's essentially no risk to investing in them. I have myself made the mistake of looking at projected outputs, calculated the tens of millions of net profit that should be generated and projected a price that turned out to never happen.

Not saying that will happen with ABU and not saying anything about what might happen, I just suspect that investors are extremely wary of the gold sector. The long term downtrend doesn't help either.
