How many brake kits is $155,000 these days ? Just trying to work out if they are discounting? Assuming 2 rear wheels only? It is interesting if the mine is doing it for actual oh&s or for maintenance benefit on actual brakes. If it was just oh&s a tailshaft brake is all that is needed in theory but in corrosive high wear environments the wheel brakes are whorthwhile especially considering lifecycle of trucks. That poses the question if 4 wheels are being fitted. Would make sense for a lower maintenance burden. As mid size trucks move towards disc brakes it is interesting as at some point you would think suspension and bodybuilders for specialist purposes would be wanting them. I am surprised that unless teh vehicles mentioned are being used as mine transport busses that mine site bussues are not the high priority ( many 8 -10 seater landcruisers were fitted eslewhere) as they do the miles in and out of site constantly and are very high use with high body fitout cost ..
Not sure why teh price moved but suspect it is peopel reading too much into a single order and some prospects but with shares on issue , debt and overheads they need a fair turnover to actually get back on their feet and then management will probably suck out rewards so it is a glimpse of a tunaround but needs lots of follow up.
