There has been much hot air written here recently so I want to share with you some info having recently spoken with the company. Hopefully this post corrects misconceptions and eliminates conspiracy theories once and for all.
The delay in lodging of a ‘ceasing to be a substantial shareholder notice’ by Pan Andean has been unhelpful given it has contributed to unwarranted speculation about the intentions of some KPO Directors and management.
That aside, KPO is only focused on commercialising its Kalina Cycle technology. That’s the end game.
The purchase of Pan Andean by Lions Bay remains conditional on a number of items, not least the TSX. Until this transaction closes I don’t think there are any disclosure requirements for anyone.
For the record, this is what I know about Lions Bay. It is being formed as an investment company with a primary business objective to maximise the share value for investors by allocating capital to investments where management and the Board of Directors believe it can achieve above average returns that are sustainable over long periods of time. By purchasing Pan Andean, Lions Bay will own a diversified portfolio of investment assets, predominately consisting of publicly traded companies. If Lions Bay did not believe in the long term prospects for Kalina, it would not have it as one of its initial investments.
Hopefully onwards and upwards from here for KPO.
