As far as I'm aware, Archer is looking to produce a minimum viable product to demonstrate to the big guns the technology works and simply licence the technology to them. Possibly also having them produced for direct sales also. The below extract from the announcement on the 26 August 2019 was before the IBM partnership - the finer details in the agreement with IBM are confidential at this stage. They have made a lot of progress towards derisking since.
From announcement 26.08.2019
" The technical development at the heart of12CQ is a world-first. Archer intends to continue technology de-risking value-added development of the 12CQ qubit processor chip by completing the next stages of component assembly towards a proof-of-concept prototype chip.The prototype chip validation is required to establish a minimum viable product. Archer intends to commercialise chip products through licencing and direct sales (ASX Announcement 29 May 2019) by seeking to establish commercial partnerships with highly resourced and skilled organisations including software developers and hardware manufacturers, that could allow for product scale, IP transfer,and distribution channels."
Can't find the Patent yet for the A1 BioChip - only that it is under examination but no documentation like above giving details on the patent information. The German Bio Partner at this stage is confidential. Possibly when they get further down the road with A1 Bio Chip development we may find out more.
