It’s really very simple.

-ESIA report submission: late 2023
-Govt review, consultation, etc etc and the issue of permits: late 2024
-Funding secured, FID: end 2024
-FEED and detailed design: if paralleled, end 2024
-Construction: 2025 + 2026
-Commissioning and steady-state production: mid 2027
-Ramp up to (near) nameplate: late 2027.

The above timing estimates are based on precedents in Argentina. They aren’t just wild guesses.
Sure, it doesn’t mean that LKE’s journey will look exactly like this, but afaict this timing is also on the optimistic side.
You mentioned permits by mid 2024? That would equate to around 6 months for approvals process….? Not a chance afaict. Is this just hope or based on something?
The reason I ask you to address the items above is that it will identify which items appear to be “close” and which appear to be “way off”, and we can then have some constructive discussion around the detail of the specific items that require it to improve our understanding of the issues and timing involved.

The reason that I think mozza and co are silent on this topic, is that they realise any reasonable production in the next 2-3 years is simply not feasible, yet they don’t want that to be recognised by “everyone” as it might put buyers off who are somehow hoping for revenue sooner.

FYI the next Li brine producer, who is currently commissioning a smaller-scale initial commercial carbonate plant in Argentina, led by an experienced Li brine expert btw, is looking to be about 2.5 years from start of construction to steady-state production. And that construction ran quite close to schedule, which was arguably surprising considering supply issues etc over the past couple of years. FYI that is “only” a 2ktpa plant, with plans for expansion.
If LKE adjusts its plans to start “small” and ramp up, even a 5 or 10ktpa plant will still take 2+ years to just construct, afaict.
The plant is FAR more than just the lilac modules btw.

To make it short I am of the idea of FID mid next year against end of next year what you are proposing. I fell Catamarca government is supportive and ESIA approval might be sooner then previously thought. Lets see.
