I don't have first hand experience of this however, I can see organisations being fine about the SOC2 by having provisions in agreements that FGO needs to meet the SOC2 accreditation within a period of time.
Pretty standard way of doing business when there are time lags involved, though again, not familiar with the finance sector specifically.
