There is obviously no way to establish this, but I would not be at all surprised if Denver and yourself were once clients of a notorious Adelaide stockbroker back in the day. As the Lawyers say "Quod erat demonstratum" (look it up). London is not all focussed, or interested in these matters you raise. Legacy issues of no relevance whatsoever to current circumstances in their view.
Perhaps you could contact them and inform them how naive and ill informed they are?
