The issue with comment was that it contradicted itself and in my option was unwarranted. To say that the market is overly competitive and that VRX should diversify was interesting. VRX already have multiple LOI and haven't even begun to construct a plant yet. I know LOI aren't binding but it's a good indication of how the market will respond. As with everything the price of a commodity is determined by the cost to produce it and it's scarcity/demand. High grade silica doesn't cost much more to produce than construction grade yet commands a price many multiples of construction sand. This should give an indication of the availability/demand of high quality silica. There may be a couple of large players who have significant resources but they are for their own use and have contracts for much if not all of their production. People can play down this market if they want but don't mislead others when the investment case is clear.
