The people making noise are the OCEs. They're the top dog safety cops on a mine. Their position is a legal requirement for the mine to operate. Without the OCE, the mine can't operate. There's a shortage of OCEs across the industry and they get paid oodles... like $200k+ easy... probably more like 250....I reckon that BMA will roll over and give them most of what they want and this will have minimal impact on operations... maybe it's the thin edge of a dying union wedge... but my guess is still that it won't eventuate into anything of significance.
