While I agree in theory and that's why I'm long, over the short term everyone will just look at the market price. No one is going to pay an insane premium, when they have the market price of WHC and the price that WHC is paying. WHC doesn't need an insane premium (the suggestion was over 100%), as much as shareholders would like one. WHC just need a reasonable premium, and a good partner or good partners.
