Unless you have been in an M&A arrangement, the last thing you talk about is workforce reductions. That will destroy the esprit de corp in very little time.
WHC must tread carefully and maintain or improve the company culture. The last thing you want is a walkout of Coal Experts.
Natural attrition will get you to the end game. Of course some people may be offered a voluntary redundancy but that would be because of duplication.
IMO WHC need to take gentle steps for the first 12 months.
