When I was holding LOM and watching my savings fall away as the stock price fell, I was buying any game I could get for $1 or less and buying stacks of Pokemon cards for a few dollars and boxes of rock cassette tapes for around 20 cents each, little did I know that many of these items would end up being worth $30 to $100 or more for a rock cassette.
Star wars and dragonball tazos selling for insane prices or a rare dogatello oddbodz card resulting in a set being worth $1000.00.
About 5 years ago many of my rare Pokemon cards were selling for $20 to $30 dollars, now $200 to $300 dollars, and the list goes on, a great legacy to leave to my children.
I think through all the stress investing in the stock market can cause, collecting and sorting out a collection when there are times of financial stress can be calming and eventually financially rewarding.
What this tells us all is that you should never invest in just one sector, spread it around for a greater chance of success.
