Nice research Mr Dig, good lesson that SARIG drill coverage is not as comprehensive as it should be. I had a look at the cross sections by Hindmarsh, drilling for U, which clearly shows IMHO a deep palaeochannel (with +100m cover at E end of drill section) coinciding with the Westpoint Hill "anomaly". So even if MEU confirm a gold in calcrete anomaly here it is unlikely to be in situ. Might explain the radio silence from MEU if they even know about the previous drilling, wouldn't be the first time they haven't mentioned previous drilling over calcrete anomalies.
