The occurrences of Kamafugite as a volcanic rock is rare and it is immensely positive to have a horizontal bed up to 40 metres thick. Once the augers hit this bed, we can expect excellent grades of rare earth mineralisation which have weathered from the Kamafugites into the Saprolite.
Kamafugites are very similar to carbonatites, in that both are magmatic and the presence rare earth mineralisation is thoroughly documented to in these rock types. The same magmatic and hydrothermal processes that create rare earth mineralisation in carbonatites is evident in Kamafugites. The geological setting associated with Kamafugites are typically alkaline-carbonatite complexes.
The presence of Kamafugites demonstrates the potential within the geology of the recently acquired Enova tenements.
