My daughter manages a small electrical contracting business and they began taking on smoke alarm inspections. Driving across a city for one inspection is not profitable for small operators. A large volume of visits located in the same area is however very profitable if the trip routes are well planned. Therefore the larger smoke detection companies can be a profitable business and made more so with clever planning (AI). Sounds to me like a good acquisition with growth potential.
