I was delivering afternoon newspapers after school and working in a cinema on the weekend [before colour TV] back in the sixties to get my dream off the ground. It just so happened that the vehicles I chose to drive are way too expensive for an individual to own, let alone service. And the fuel bill would make your eyes pop. Pay was very good too. That allowed me to later indulge my hobby, which is driving trains.
2008 was not fun. Black Friday 1987 is the one that is seared into my memory, though. Twenty five percent of the markets' value disappeared overnight without warning. Someone here was talking about the end of the [financial] world recently, forget who. Would small caps be the best place to be in the event of a meltdown? Not financial advice
