Just went to Google Earth Pro and did some quick satellite image surfing. Assumptions - 20 days to pump out pit and another two months of summer to do testing aka peak Summer.
limited photos available close up and a few high altitude images available. lucky we are looking for a deep blue hole changing colour
Outcome - The pit was full of water on:
Aug 2012 Aug 2015 Aug 2016 Aug 2019
Close up images show object changes around the buildings between Jul 2004 and Aug 2016. There is no changes around the pit or buildings between 2016 and 2019 that I can see.
Conclusion: I can't conclude the pit was not drained in 2018 for testing and blasting (Shakes fist!)
