Demonstration of what we've been talking about here for a while; that is MCP expanding its channel breadth and depth away from the challenging Supermarket controlled channels where home brands and oligopolistic retailers are squeezing margins.
Pity we didn't get any specifics regarding the acquisitions.
IMO this will continue with MCP snapping up smaller distributors/ wholesalers who are struggling in the current climate and gaining through economies of scale when those brands are stabled within MCP.
I am happy to take the +10% cash yield and speculate that MCP is at the bottom of its cycle.
