    I think this one should be put to them in an email. If the answer is that "confidential negotiations are still proceeding" then that's fine, but if the matter is concluded and assuming they don't have anything serious to hide, there is a chance they would be prepared to tell you (some companies will)

    My experience is that an email can lead to a phone call if they don't want to be pinned down by having things in writing. I like to write down the questions that I want answered, because, in my case, I can get side tracked if the conversation goes off in another direction for a while.

    I am hoping these new directors will make the place a bit less secretive - the generics strategy is a good sign. But if they decide not to tell you, then somebody with a bigger stick will need to pressure them.
