So tell me if I've got this right: acrux puts in an anda. the current patent holder starts litigation. the two then cut a deal that will allow acr to sell it generically even before the patents are up, for a cut of the profits or something. The date that starts is confidential as part of the agreement. this allows the patent holder to effectively continue to reap profits from the generic by ensuring a cut of the first generic to gain a foothold in the market. we all go home happy. so, the announcement of litigation on the 8th is really the announcement of opening negotiations to become the first generic foot holder on the market... today's announcement is the hint that 2019's negotiations may begin bearing fruit soon.
