Well observed. As you have probably also noticed this pattern of a 1 tick (0.5c) rise in the morning followed by a tick down in the closing auction has been occurring on many days since the raising. It seems difficult to know who is doing it and for what purpose. The end result in my view is that nobody wants to buy when the price ticks up as they can be reasonably certain it will tick down again. As I see it this gradually undermines general confidence in the stock which I think is assisting with our slow price descent.
I guess its just one of life's frustrations.
