The other thing that doesn’t necessarily lend well to Alzheimer’s patients is the fact that they can forget to eat at regular meal times which can lead to weight loss. Combining that with a GLP-1 drug which is known to drop your weight might not be the best thing for everyone.
On a separate note - I did manage to catch up with someone this arvo that’s in regular contact with the company. Nothing confidential obviously. But there’s definitely no motive behind BVF selling out. BVF have a new management team that have taken the decision to get rid of their small holdings. They’re managing something like US$6B now and a small $3m investment in a small cap ASX isn’t worth their time, cost and effort apparently. Was also told that most of the BVF shares sold have gone to long term holders which is a positive. Am guessing the company helped out with that. Hopefully the selling is done and we can get back to normal now.
