Not sure now given where they are at with the debt... back when they were 10M in the hole it wasn't as bad but a few things are now handbrakes to them being successful.
Despite what is said officially from the company I understand that the Wonawinta site is now a basket case - stuff is broken/beyond repair and will need serious $'s to get it going again. Since there is no plant at Boppy (although they have said that one is coming), this is another issue. One problem that I picked up from the quarterly announcements a while ago was the mention of 'jigs' in the new Boppy plant. These form part of a gravity circuit and from my recollections of the Boppy ore the gold grain size is too fine to be recovered by gravity to warrant this type of circuit. This also ties in with the testwork that showed a finer grind on Boppy ore released and recovered more gold (best month of recovery at Wonawinta was back when they started in 2020 and achieved 80%, but was also the finest-ground dirt that they put through the mill).
The boppy mine also has a bunch of native carbon which is preg-robbing, hence a high CIL count in the first absorption tank is necessary to prevent it sticking to the native carbon.
So, a correct type of circuit coupled with grinding it as fine-as-possible are "must-haves" for any circuit MKR construct, however these are all costly things to implement.
To answer your question - a capable mgmt team can pull Boppy processing off - but, with the current debt level it is looking unlikely. If someone in the area wanted to take it over, that would be more likely than MKR getting it going. AMI could be looking at it. I would if I were them. HLX also has tenements between Boppy and Hermidale which have some shallow gold and are also a bit stressed currently. Potential for anything given the POG.
All of course IMHO.
