These AMT anomalies are a very blunt geophysical method that relies on electric currents induced via lightning and solar energy causing variations in the earth's magnetic field that is influenced by geological structures, faults, intrusions, alteration etc. It's a useful way of testing areas for mineralised targets but; base and precious metal ore bodies are not 8km wide or anything like that. The mineralised part of hematite breccias and porphyry systems can attain substantial widths ore zones are more like hundreds of metres. It would be nice to see a much tighter targeting system used to further define drill targets. Boasting about 8km widths is technically worrying.
