What it says. Is that if spaced 1km apart and a known seam is found in an unexpected location is that the model is wrong. As all subsequent decisions depend on the accuracy of the model all subsequent decisions are in question. The implication is that 1km spacing is insufficient to support a model of sufficient reliability to make reliable estimates. Just because this surprise is one direction it does not mean the next surprise wont be in the other direction.
