Market expectations were sky high for speculators and long term holders who deserve short term reward. However this barely changes the economics of the project and just keeps the focus on the flow testing and bigger discovery opportunities across the site.
As our society evolves, nothing is more true than humans expecting things to happen immediately and losing patience quickly, both as strength and a weakness. As Buffet says, the stock market is a wealth transfer machine from the impatient to the patient.
