Hmm Thorium is not a weapon product.. but anyway.
Alkane and Lynas have v. low radionuke content in there ores. makes waste disposal a lot easier.
What I'd say (and apologies, haven't listened to podcast). Is that start up RE companies are nto necessarily wasting there time.. but its damn difficult, and China can sway things very easily. So if you're burdened with huge debt.. a swing in prices can be a death knell.
That being said if your revenue is not solely dependent on REE's this helps to de-risk the economics.. unless its potentially other metals/markets that can be readily swayed or influenced.
Funnily enough.. Zr and Nb are both somewhat of this, however Zr is on the rise after a long depressed period. Nb just needs a couple of operations to start up for the price to tank... but with ALK producing such a small amount.. I'm not sure that's a big risk.

Regarding the HREE's, yes there will be a shortage of these.. but if history tells us anything its that life will find away.. I wouldn't expect exorbitant values on these.

Long story short, I'd much rather be a holder of ALK than PEK, NTU or Hastings
