Encounter Resources Ltd (ASX:ENR) has the first batch of assay results
from the RC drilling at the BM1 prospect, Yeneena project.
Assay results have been received from the first 14 holes of a 33
hole RC program.
New assays results include 6m at 3.6pc copper from 16m incl. 2m
at 5.6pc copper (oxide), 20m at 2.2pc copper from 16m incl. 2m at 3.6pc
copper (oxide), 10m at 1.4pc copper from 20m incl. 4m at 2.4pc copper
(oxide), 18m at 1.1pc copper from 26m (oxide), 10m at 1.1pc copper from
68m (supergene) and 4m at 2.1pc copper from 110m incl. 2m at 3.4pc copper
(supergene and native copper).
This program was primarily designed to determine the orientation
and extent of the high grade copper mineralisation.
It was highly successful and has confirmed the continuity of the
oxide copper.
The identification of a native copper and chalcocite zone on the
westernmost section is particularly significant as it is an indicator to
a possible copper sulphide zone at depth.
The diamond rig will re-commence testing these primary sulphide
copper targets from next week, managing director Will Robinson said.
